David says "Process safety management requires a different approach to the tried and tested methods for ensuring occupational health and safety. Why? Because it concerns mainly high severity but low frequency events. This means that we (hopefully!) don’t have enough process safety events to be able to meaningfully trend the data and draw good conclusions."
David will outline the main elements required in a good process safety management system, along with some practical questions you can ask yourself in order to understand how well your PSM system is performing.
